The application area should be clean, dry, and free of oil, lotion, or powder. Shave any excessively long hair if necessary.

Tear off the desired length from the perforations of the roll of tape, or open the individual sterile packaging.

Apply the tape flat onto the dressing or catheter, extending and securing both ends to the skin with appropriate tension. The "anchoring method" (secure the middle first, then smooth outwards) is recommended.

Slowly and gently peel off the tape parallel to the skin. Moistening the edges of the tape with saline or water can reduce stickiness and facilitate removal.
